christmas tree

yesterday we put up the christmas tree. it’s a small fragile tree that would even make charlie brown’s tree look good in comparison. but with a lil decoration (some sentimental and some pretty edible looking courtesy the dollar store) it’s not so bad. it’s quite charming actually.

the village underneath the tree was aslo put into place –the big house on the block ( the gingerbread house) was the most spectacular of all but this year their lights are out. i wonder if the gingerbread-man finally decided to call it quits or if his wife took everything after the divorce? gossip is growing amongsts the villagers. the oversized sheep lurking behind the gingerbread house isn’t making things easier on them either.

i guess there’s been quite a few changes in that neighborhood over the years, what with the economy being what it is, Jesus and his entourage have had too move to a different neighborhood too due to lack of space and the exhorbitantly high market price in that location. the holy family might move in near the entrance with the big  ice cube snow-man  who has always been kind of a loner.

i wonder how long it will take them to realize that one rebellious sheep, named Kevin, was left behind in the midst of all the chaos surrounding the move.

christmas just isn’t what it used to be.
